I originally learned about the Yosemite Western Artists weekly live model get-together from my friend, artist Terry Robinson, but the first time I joined them for a session, I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't know what the space was like, if they had tables, easels or chairs available, nothing, so I came, this first time, equipped only with my iPad, figuring I'd just draw or paint on it. "Soil Tiller" is the result of that first experience with the group.
