Artist's Comments
The subject of this portrait and I attended Venice High School at the same time, although we didn't know each other, at the time. My wife, Betty, knew her well, however, and Susie discovered my work, through Betty's Facebook page. Susie has always been very complementary of my work. Her husband contacted me, secretly, and commissed this portrait of Susie, from a favorite photograph, as a surprise for her birthday. Quite a guy, don't you think?
