Artist's Comments
Lee Stetson is a John Muir impersonator. He's been portraying John Muir in multiple presentations in Yosemite National Park, since 1983 and most famously portrayed the die-hard protagonist of Yosemite in Ken Burns' recent PBS documentary series, " National Parks - America's Best Idea." He's a dead-ringer for the naturalist himself, so when he kindly agreed to pose for the Yosemite Western Artists weekly live model session, it was an event not to be missed.
