Don't know if you've noticed or not, but the dog, Bambino, is sitting on his bed, while riding in the passenger seat of a car, with the landscape blurring by outside through the window. This gave me a chuckle, as I painted. For centuries dogs dutifully patrolled their small, given territory, using their own given, natural means of transportation. Now, at our sides, they fly along the freeways, through the air, on trains and in boats, all without leaving their cushion. I wonder what's going on in their heads.
