During the summer of 2016, the Yosemite Conservancy invited me up to Yosemite National Park to serve as their Art Center Visiting Artist for a week. I was their guest, in a special little studio apartment behind the Art Center for a week and each day I took visitors, to Yosemite, out to paint a different breath-taking location. The outtings were plein air workshops, so I, of course, instructed through a demonstration. I took each painting as far as I could on location in 4 hour sessions, then finished them back home in my studio from reference photos I'd taken. This is my finished version of the Ahwahnee Bridge. It was an amazing experience in paradise. I certainly hope they invite me again!
