Artist's Comments

Begun from life, during one of the Yosemite Western Artists' (YWA) Friday live model sessions, I finished this one in the studio from reference photos I took that day. Priscilla has been modeling for YWA since she was a little girl, long before I joined the group, so her childhood has been well documented by the member artists. You can often revisit her at various ages at YWA exhibits. In future sittings she'll be much changed, as she cut off her long red hair shortly after this session.
